Would Ruby Franke have retaliated if her husband Kevin reported what she did to the police?

Ruby Franke was the woman who ran the now obsolete YouTube channel (meaning it no longer exists) 8 passengers. And the reason it was called 8 passengers is because it was her and her husband Kevin plus their 6 children. However, her YouTube career ended in August of 2023 when she was arrested on charges of child abuse. And since the arrest many have blamed Kevin for not seeking justice for his kids. However I can think of a lot of reasons for why he didn't report her actions to the police. The first reason is that he would've needed solid concrete evidence that the police could deem worthy for prosecution. Secondly (even if he did have all that) it's a big thing to just out a family member as abusive. A lot of people don't do that because they don't wanna seem like the enemy for wanting their parental figure to be held accountable. But the 3rd and biggest reason is usually the most obvious. They're afraid of retribution or retaliation from the person they turn in. And that's because not everyone you report to the police is gonna accept defeat right then and there. Sure some might accept the fact that their criminal endeavours are over. But most of the time they can very easily retaliate if you squeal on them. And that's something that only the abuse victims themselves know. And that's because these people care about one thing and one thing only. Being in control. The moment you do anything to try and take that control away from them, they can ramp it up to 11. Or even 20. Like if my child was being abused, yes, obviously I'd want the perpetrator to answer for what he did. But you wanna know what would be equally as important. Making sure they don't suffer retribution as a result for disclosing what the abuser did to them. It's often why we have witness protection. So that the police can keep the necessary witnesses safe in order to testify and put the perpetrators away. But I wanna know from you guys. Would Ruby have retaliate if Kevin reported her to the cops
