What you do is you teach them a lesson. They turn away from yoy yet they expect forgiveness. Lol no forgiveness is a PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT. It is perfectly acceptable and in fact encouraged to expose abuse and halt it in any way that is legal and moral.

However, getting even…. that’s what revenge is, and it’s not permissible according to scripture. God knows the hearts and minds of all. He knows the motives of all, whether one be shortsighted or ignorant to their own motives or mistaken or whatever. Vengeance is his place not ours.

So yeah, if teaching a lesson involves exposing someone and letting them suffer the consequences of their choices in order to end poor behavior, by all means. Sometimes the best way to love your neighbor is to let them suffer the consequences of their actions, but we are also called to be merciful, at least in cases of wrong doing to us. As I said though, getting even…. scripture forbids this.

What mercy looks like is deferent from case to case. It’s depends on criteria. It’s not always appropriate to bail someone out of the consequences of poor behavior, but mercy is certainly almost always fitting for one who has a penitent heart.
Cheaters deserve forgiveness so long as they are sincerely sorry and ask for it. We must forgive all who are sincerely sorry and ask forgiveness or we cannot expect God to forgive us when we sin.

To be fair I did not examine the attached link so maybe I’m missing part of the story.

It would’ve been better if I summarized the story but basically there’d been this dude who noticed his wife was always going out to meet up with this work colleague of hers, and whenever she got home she’d always be excited to talk about him, and she was always abruptly hiding whatever she was doing on her phone and clearing search history. then the dude returns home from work early one day and he catches both of them sleeping in bed together.

Just one of those things where the girl denies being unfaithful for an extended period of time even despite all the signs, and then gets caught in the act
