What is the best thing about your best friend? How did you first meet?

He moved into town in the first grade. His mother invited some of the neighborhood kids to his birthday party. We were friends through a lot of things /I was the best man at all 4 of his weddings. He moved away during Covid. He lived about an hour and a half away so we did not see each other all the time. I wanted to buy him a steak dinner before he moved but things got screwed up with covid and the next thing I knew he was gone.
He died a year ago. I was planning on driving down to see him next year..

I have three best friends my wife, my daughter and my dog.
They are my only friends in life.
I’m smart, normal (for the most parts), nice and helpful to anyone, but no one really notices me (bad home accident)

She was strong and a tough lover, and it all came from a place of genuine care. If you ever needed her, she was there and did everything she could. She didn’t give sugar-coated advice; she spoke the truth, and I admired that. We met in middle school and grew up together, but we changed. Our morals changed, and we went our separate ways. It’s sad now that we talked about our future together. But thanks to her, I’ve grown and learned, and I’m extremely thankful for our friendship.
