How did you meet your best friend?

How long have you know each other? How would you describe your friendship?

We have known each other since second grade. I was in second grade and he was in first. We lived near each other and grew up in the same neighborhood. I was best man at 3 of his 4 weddings. We did all the stuff guys do. We know things about each other that nobody else knows.

When I was a senior in high school we were on the outs for a few years. When his grandfather died I went to the funeral and we sort of patched things up.

He lived about two hours from me so we did not see each other very much when my kids were growling up but when he got divorced I took a day off from work and drove out to see him. He showed up when both my parents died.

Three years ago he moved 800 miles away. We were in the middle of the covid lockdowns so we did not even get to say goodbye.

My longest friend passed away when I was 45. He was the best man at my wedding.

These days, I have a couple of good buddies, however, I've only known them five years or so.

I met them out river kayaking/camping one weekend. We shared a campfire the one night and now we get together every other weekend to do things. We help each other out when doing reno projects on our home as many hands make things go quicker.

In college. We've known each other for 6 years now. Our relationship is beyond close. We share pretty much everything.

I met her when she was 10 and I was dating her older sister. A few years later her sister dumped me after getting with a guy she was cheating with. Her younger sister was there fof me.
