How did you meet your best friend?

I knew of my best friend's reputation in the 6th grade. But we only started hanging out in 7th grade after he threw a metal shop stool in class one day. It was in a "Let's fight!" moment between my future buddy and another kid in shop class. He got sent to the Principal's office and I ran into him later after school. From that point on we were stuck together and got into a lot of trouble along the way. A cop or two later we were 38. What about you?

Okay so strap in.

I met my best friend on the first day of high school, and tried to talk to her. Thing is, I ramble when I'm nervous and she doesn't say anything when she's nervous. So we were both freaking out with social anxiety, but we ended up sitting together in geography, though I had other classes with her, too.
Not too long in, I had to take a leave of absence that lasted about 2 months, so I dropped the class and she got partnered with some guy with the whitest name I've ever heard. I knew him in elementary school so yeah I honestly felt bad she had to deal with him for the rest of the semester.
The next semester I returned to my class (we were a special program so basically everyone was all your classes), and I didn't face her, she didn't face me because it was just waaay too awkward and both of us were socially anxious AF.
But I ended up making friends who were also her friends, and she was not happy (who is this stranger in my land kind of thing). So one day we had a science project with a group of four so I got inducted to fill the number. We went to her house to do the thing, but the other two had strict parents and couldn't go anywhere. So the two of us started hanging out because our parents didn't give a shit. It was a little awkward but we somehow ended bonding over some soft core German porn that showed up on her TV. I know.
But here's the thing: we'd met before highschool but neither of us remembered. There was a weird competition thing we did in middle school, and we invited the top 3 teams from her school to go against the top 3 from our class (2 per team so not a lot of people). Well of course, she was up there with her school and I with mine as we competed. Didn't recognize her like 5 months later when highschool started.
That was 9 years ago.

I got quite a few best friends, but I'll chose one to tell since she just had her birthday lol. We have been friend for 7-8 years.

I met her on my first year of junior high school (year 7). I talked to a lot of people, but she was really2x quiet and so I was tempted to talk with her lol. We started building our friendship by then. But it was only after first year of Senior High School (year 10) that we become really close. She skipped classes with me, got through problems together, learned together, share personal stories in deeper level.

Before I went abroad for university, she visited my home at 3am in the morning to gave me some parting gifts and bid our farewell. We are still bestfriend and is in touch with each other despite having 7 hours time gap. I really love her (and her brother lol, jk)

I met her in high school (8th grade). We were in the same commerce class and had the same bag and thought it was cool. We didn't hit it off straight away though. It wasn't until uni that I realised I saw her as my best friend. It's so weird because we're so different from each other. I'm wild and love partying and nights out, while she likes focusing on work, staying home, and hates partying and drinking. But I love that because while I bring out the wild side in her, she keeps me grounded.

Ironically, through one of my worst friends. The bad friend took me to her house to hook up a stove and she invited me over a few days later for dinner as thanks. We've been thick as thieves ever since and I cut ties with the other person over 5 years ago, although she still talks to her.

I met my best friend in kindergarten! We were in different classes and we actually hated each other lol... one day she was sitting on the wrong bus carpet and I yelled at her that she was on the wrong one, and so she didn’t like me after that😂. In first grade we were in the same class and we got to know each other better and we were inseparable ever since!

I remember noticing her at orientation. I liked her top, she was really beautiful. The top was lilac and elegant. She remembers hearing me talking to someone in the bathroom and said i sounded like a badass. I have no recollection of this lol. But we became friends from that first day.

I was in second grade and he was in first. His family moved into my neighborhood. His mother had a birthday party for him and invited me and some of the other neighborhood kids. We started hanging out after that. We were in Cub Scouts together and we got arrested together. We stole a bunch of pumpkins one night before Halloween and put them on the front porch of a girl he liked. We rang the doorbell and ran like hell.
We were on the outs for about a year or so in high school but I was with him through four weddings and three divorces. He moved 800 miles away in March. We did not even get to say goodbye to each other because of the virus.

My best friend is my husband, i met him in grade school. My other best friend is my sister. My last best friend is my friend from college.
