Is it common for a kid to resemble their uncle instead of the parents?

I have a nephew (my sister's 4 year-old son) that resembles our older brother. He looks nothing like her nor her husband. He's the exact replica of his uncle, our brother when he was that age. Someone even though our brother was the father.

If half of the chromosomes come from the mother and the other half from the father, why does he look like our brother? Is this common, for a kid to resembler their uncle and not the parents?

Our own brother has certain different features than us. My nephew is the only one in the family that looks like him.

Your sister is kind of the female version of your brother. Since she has a son, his features are going to be masculine compared to your sisters, which would resemble your brothers features. Yes, it's possible. My cousin had a son and when he was around two or three, she would show pictures of her son, then throw in a picture of her brother at the same age... you couldn't tell them apart.

My niece is the spitting image of me as a baby. The genes on her grandfather’s side run strong as my brother and I look a great deal like our father. It’s the same here, I imagine. Just strong genes from Mom’s side

I forgot to add she actually thought the baby got switched (it was C-section and a complicated pregnancy) because he doesn't look anything like her either. A test was already done and it's all positive, it's their kid. Ok I don't know what other explanation can be said after that?

I give my mom shit all the time... I resemble my uncle and get along with him better also. The two were homecoming royalty together also... makes a guy wonder.

The kid already got tested and it's their kid. The husband is the father. Yet he doesn't look like the own mother either.
What would you think afterwards? If you were him, the kid looked like the woman's brother, you guys already test the kid but it's still positive, it's still your kid.. what other explanation can there be then?
