It was a long time ago when I moved out and got my own apartment. I was in college and still in my hometown so I had many friends to keep me busy. It took me a few months to get my routine down... shopping for groceries, cooking my own meals, doing laundry. It helped that I visited my parents every week or so... Mom cooked dinner for Dad and me.
My suggestion to you. Give it time, and don't try to do everything at once. Work out a regular system for your typical days and weeks. Have friends over... for snacks/drinks, maybe to watch a movie together. If you're not too far away, occasionally visit your parents. Moving out is not a clean break that you'll never see them again.
I will try. Thanks for yours advice. I don't have a lot of friends, but I will invite my few friends over in ferbruary for a housewarming party
I moved out and away at around age 23. I had a studio apartment while I was in college for 2 years. I then moved out of that apartment because it was expensive and I had no job after college. I moved back in with my parents for 6 months to save money to move back to that city. Moved back to that city and found a job there that I liked. That was about 7 years ago and now when I spend too much at my parents house I get very angsty. In my experience, I was homesick because I was unsure of my future because I wasn’t sure if what I was going to college for was something I really wanted to do. But now I have that figured out that I do want to go down that career path, I’m more comfortable living away from my family but I also have roommates so it’s not so lonely.
I forgot to say, yes it was lonely living in that studio apartment because I lived alone. Honestly having roommates helps with the loneliness.
You should make the most of this amd have fun. Start decorating, looking for furniture, go out and socialize so you can have friends to invite over

I moved out when 23 after I accepted to American college. I could have stayed longer but I felt that I should move out after my brother get married. I cried calling my mom from thousands of miles away. I think I made a bad choice. I never left home. I still go back to Korea and stay with them. I just don’t want to leave. My school years were not that great. I mean I didn’t complete school. Every time I was about graduate something bad happened. I went to 2 schools for 6 years. Maybe you should stay with your parents if you don’t want to leave.
I do want to live because I have reasons to. Just hard to get used to the new change
It wasn't lonely or depressing. Living with my parents was lonely and depressing. Once I moved, I was able to have friends over, a healthy life and didn't have to be stuck living with fucked up people anymore.
If your parents were so great, I don't get why you moved out. That's going to obviously be a struggle for you. Maybe just go spend more time with them.
I moved because I need to focus on studying, to create my own life and to try to grow up more mentaly. I have many siblings. My family is great, but also annoying
Someone print this man's greetings in a greeting card 👀✉️ lol I don't wanna mention a brand name of greeting card makers
I moved out into an apartment with two of my friends. After living with them for a year we all went our separate ways and I got a place of my own (I'm a homeowner now with a wife and two kids) and I was in love with having the place all to myself instantly. Living alone was great and took no time at all.
I actually don't know but I was working and studying so was barely in my flat until after i graduated. The thing is (and this is going to be weird) is my flat didn't smell like me for like a year, it smelled like the previous tenant if that makes sense so it took a while for that to go away and then it started to feel like home
Thank you for sharing 😊
Apart from about 2 months in total, I have always lived with partners for the past 23 years, but that 2 months was hell.
How? Were you lonely those two months or?
I moved away when I went to school last fall. I have roommates so not really alone, but it didn't take long to adjust being away from home.
Took me about a month and it wasn’t hard mostly because I missed my dad and wasn’t used to a quiet house, I think this is normal i literally live alone alone not with someone so I think it felt worse like that
Lol here I was thinking people were partying or have a lover or a lover who comes over now and again aka long term partner - not being homesick lonely like an adult who's still wishing they were clutching a teddy
takes some time for some. gotta fill your time with what is socially and emotionally rewarding.
It helps to have a pet or a roommate. I had bith and it took me a year to be okay with it but I also really struggle with change so I imagine it wouldn’t last that long for someone else.
Why not have a cupcake 🧁 or pillow of cupcakes to make the place you're?
I think your joke works better if you can actually write your punchline
I've been frosted lol 🧁🤣
If you don't like living alone, you don't get used to it, you just feel lonely until a friend, family member, or spouse moves in with you. Pets can help a bit in the meantime though, especially a cat.
I know the feeling and sorry, but I think you either have to wait and hope it goes away or find friends to visit, find a roommate or a partner those are pretty much your only options.
Have you considered inviting friends over?
Or getting a roommate?
I don't want to have a roommate. I like privacy and the apartment is not big enough for two people. Also it would cause issues if I had a roommate.
Well, just a thought.
You can start inviting your boyfriend/girlfriend over, if you have one.
Or like go places with friends, and then go back to your apartment when you're sick of dealing with people.
I go back and fort to my parent's house since I get bored alone in my apartment.

Not long. For me at least. I wanted it since I was 13 years old.
I'm Living alone since 8 years now
I moved out when I was 20 and I transferred to a University in a different part of the state. I think I was used to it the same day. LOL...
It's really hard... so it's better mover from parents not in rent apartment but students dorm
I was beyond thrilled to get out my parents house when I was your age.
when you get used to it you will shock how you lived your family hall this time.. :D
IMHO, it all depends on how mentally strong you are. We when I moved out, many centuries ago, it seemed like no time for me to get used to living alone. The secret. . . don't let it get to you.
lonely? depressing? i'd be so relaxed. count your blessings, most people can't afford to live alone lol. i would suggest getting a pet tho!
That's why a lot of people have roommates, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, and children. Sometimes living by yourself is lonely.
I’m sure it’s different for different people. It wasn’t much of an adjustment for me
Depends on your busy ness here.
About a week I did so willingly.
