How do I find people that aren't boring but aren't famous?

I'm not a very social person, I prefer small friend groups of 1-4 (including myself). But the only people I feel like I can relate to are all various kinds of content creators (developers, architects, writers, pro gamers, artists, composers, scientists, tech engineers, etc)

I try to make friends by meeting people online through gaming, as its my only social hobby, and they always turn out dull and/or obnoxious, and so I bail and block them all.

Am I stuck repeating this process in games I enjoy until I find people I click with? Or is there a faster, more efficient way to find people who think the same way I do and enjoy the same activities and conversation topics that I do?

Having to find new people only to reset back to zero friends repeatedly gets pretty exausting.
So much so that I'm honestly considering just saying fuck it to having any friends or a wife.

Yo, I feel you on that struggle of trying to find people you actually click with. It's super frustrating when all you end up meeting are boring or obnoxious folks, especially through online gaming where it's hard to really get to know someone at first.

I don't think you're stuck just repeating that process forever though. There are probably some better ways to try and find your kind of people without having to wade through so much disappointment.

One thing that might help is trying to get more involved in niche online communities or forums related to your specific interests and hobbies. Like, if you're really into a certain game or genre of music or whatever, see if there are dedicated subreddits, Discord servers, or forums where people discuss that stuff. You're more likely to find your people in those kinds of spaces.

You could also look into local meetup groups or clubs in your area that cater to your interests. Even if it's just a small handful of people, at least you know you'll have that common ground to build off of. Plus it gets you out of just the online sphere.

And don't be afraid to try new activities or hobbies too. You never know what kind of cool, like-minded folks you might meet. Even if it takes a few tries, it's worth expanding your horizons a bit.

The main thing is just not giving up, bro. I know it's draining to keep putting yourself out there, only to have it not work out. But your people are out there, I promise. You just gotta keep at it and not lose hope.

In the meantime, don't feel bad about taking breaks from trying to make new friends too. It's okay to focus on yourself for a while if you need to recharge. As long as you don't totally give up, you'll get there eventually.

Just keep being your authentic self, and the right folks will come your way. Hang in there, man. You got this!

No quick way to make friends as an adult wish there was. Really most just wanna vent never listen to your issues often one sided or they whine about Thier kids.

Yeah I don't want to talk about issues or kids (I don't have any kids, nor do I want any) I just wanna talk about science and nature and technology and video games and cartoons/anime/movies and art.

People who live to vent all the time are annoying. I want a fun person in my life who's full of joy and excitement and cleverness and creativity, because I'm that type of person.
