Do (or did) your parents have a recurring phrase when they wanted to scold you?

It was just how she called my name.

Actually both of them. Him too.

Dad would say my name in a shorter time when he was mad. He talked like he didn’t have the energy for whatever nonsense I may have did, and wanted to get to the facts. Like some tired police officer or judge “did you, or didn’t you do that.”

sometimes it was less accusatory though. “So what happened.”

or “what did you do.”

Mom would say my name very loud and angry like lol. And hers was more spot on, sniper-like questions 😂 “did you take so and so’s tv remote?”

She basically told ME the answer with her questions like 80-85% of the time.

But all and all it was rare they got mad with me, and 99% of the cases were them mad if something got messed up or was taking too long.

Did cut wet grass with dad’s mower or did I forget to put the tools back in the tool box.

Did I put the food in the microwave like mom said or did I give my sibling my order from whatever was being ordered out. Stuff like that. Very mild and rare.

For me I would simply get " the look". You know the one where you can't look away and you know without any words needed that you are in big big trouble.
