What’s Considered Too Old To Have Kids — for men and women?

I was reading an article recently about the 10th President of the U. S. — John Tyler. He had 15 children, with two different wives. The last was born when he was in his 60s I think. So apparently guys father kids in their 60s and 70s. My wife is ‘fixed’ so we’re not having any more kids, but a single friend of hers has asked her about me providing the sperm naturally, for her to get pregnant (she’s 39). She wants me to remain anonymous, and has already had a document drawn up by her attorney. Apparently I have plenty of mobile sperm in my semen after having my doctor check. I’m just wondering if it’s a good idea to father a child at my age, even anonymously, with no obligations. My wife thinks it’s fine.

What about women? What’s too old for them to have kids, assuming they’re still fertile?

That sounds like a sweet thing your doing for her friend. My friends are lesbian and needed a donor my brother provided some and they have 3 kids now. My brother has never met one of them.

There’s a theory that since boy sperm swims faster than girl sperm, the deeper you are the more likely it will be a boy. I’ll definitely deposit my sperm deeply. 😈

Not past 40 for either gender. Mens sperm starts going bad around 35-40. That's why sperm banks don't take from older men. The sperm is what grows the placenta so there is more health risks to the mother and baby if the dad is older/higher chance of miscarriage too
