The millennial generation need to stop blaming the government about their financial issues?

My grandmother and I had a good educational and at the same time interesting conversation. My cousin complain about everything being expensive how the government take advantage of citizens but yet she went to the mall and bought her one year old kid $250 Jordan shoes when Walmart sales them for $10-$20 price choices. You can't be serious a one year old kid does not need over priced shoes he doesn't even care about name brands. My grandmother offer some of her furniture she had in storage in her basement my cousin made me roll my eyes about her ridiculous comment she made to my grandmother she told my grandmother that her house isn't a cemetery for her old trash. Later like the two past month my cousin ask me if I could let her borrow some money yet she never learns her lesson she went and got herself a coach Dior bag. I really do not understand the concept of pretending to be something I am not. My grandmother told me that decades ago she stay at home while my grandfather would go to work my grandmother told but the secret spice was people back in the day would put priorities first pay bills parents back in the day didn't overly spoiled their child like parents do now a days. My grandmother told me people only bought what they needed kiss would go out and play at the park with the other kids from the neighborhood this Ipad technology ruins kids childhood being glued on social media. My grandmother told me now a days people are materialistic. I am the only granddaughter that my grandmother passed on her furniture because none of my cousin would take good care of the furniture.

Yes and no.

Irresponsible spending and buying luxuary items at an impossible high price is one thing.

But stuff is much more expensive now and lots of this is to blame on the government and the corporations who work hand in hand to keep the average citizen poor (er) than generations ago.

Eg. You need to work 8 times as long to pay for basic things like cars or houses. This has nothing to do with inflation.

Its simply a general fact, how todays generations work much harder than ever before and can't afford fewer and fewer things.

Excuses excuses. The problem here is people don't know how to set a budget. It's simple once you get your first job when people are in high school start a savings and save es much and never touch that money. Now a days people are lazy and order from door dash take out instead of making their own meals.

Women out here have purses that cost more than my car, so stupid. When I was a doorman at the bar, this girl came up and we didn't let her in because she was young and had no ID. Then she was bragging to me about how her purse cost $4,000 and she isn't used to being treated like this. I laughed and said "what kind of idiot spends $4,000 on a purse?" To which she replied "this guy bought it for me".

but a lot of people make bad financial decisions and it's their fault too. most people are uneducated about money and have bad influences. that's really gotta change

People nowadays believe that they are owed something. Not that they have to go work for it, but somebody owes it to them. This is obviously incorrect. You work hard in today’s world you will get ahead. It’s as simple as that!
