Are you still in contact with any of your friends from high school?

I am still in touch with a few people I knew long before high school - even before elementary school. I am not directly in touch with anyone from high school itself, but I get second-hand news on a few people that I still consider to be friends. I am also in touch with a few people I met just after high school. Altogether there are about a dozen people I have known for 45 years or more.

Recently we had our 50th reunion. I know in previous reunions that there was nobody there that I cared about. I found out at the last minute that some of my best friends from HS were at the 50th. If I had known that in time, I would have gone. It would have been great to see them again.

At your age you have no concept of 50 years. If you have friends, you need to take positive steps to keep that friendship alive. Otherwise it will simply fade. The relationship will not be the same as it was in HS, but they can still be friends for a very long time. That has value that is irreplaceable.

Only two. The rest gradually dropped off of the radar over the years. A few of them have died.

I'm still in touch with one guy who was one of my best friends. We haven't seen each other in years but we talk on the phone every once in a while.

And I'm Facebook friends with my first girlfriend. We started going together when I was 16 in 10th grade. She's a happy grandma now.

Yeah I still keep in touch with a few of my high-school friends. Also obviously went to school with my hubby, his bro and wife too so I talk with them all the time

Only like 3. Most have moved on, got married, had kids and got good jobs meanwhile I’m still struggling in life so I guess I’m stuck in a different life place and no longer fit in their lives anymore. The 3 I still talk to are in a similar life place as me so we mutually relate to each other.

I'm really only in contact with one friend from high school. Of course I'm friends with a ton of them on Facebook, but I only regularly talk with one. Most of my close friends are from college or grad school, as well as a couple former co-workers.

Yes. Two of them. To this day they are still my brothers. We live in different parts of the country, but would literally drop everything to help each other.

For me, Facebook is a constant time machine to people from my past. Not 3 minutes ago, I was trading texts with a professor from Alabama who I kne in high school. I have not seen him in 44 years.

My best friend from high school and I still talk and see each other. I wouldn’t consider him my best friend anymore but we see each other maybe once a month or every other month

I had the same friend since second grade. He died last year. I have another friend that lives in the next town that I still hang out with. That is about it.

That was long ago and far away and I only had two friends. One was killed by a drunk driver his first year in college.
