Sometimes. Depends what the situation is. I teach, so in class I def use "Socratic Method" till the kids get around to the perspective I'm trying to get them to see. (After 20+ years of teaching some of the kids still surprise me with a winning opposing thought, which is refreshing.)

Nope some people are far too ignorant and would waste your time, no only should you pick your battles but when you know you've made good points and they lack to understand them then save yourself the time rather than waste anymore

Nope. Hence why I moved out of my parent’s house. It wasn’t getting anywhere. So eventually I got sick and tired of the constant arguing so I left
