I just made a new friend where we hung out just once. We recently hung out again and when I showed up, he had another one of his friends with him. It was fine by me, but the dude kind of didn't have a filter and made both both me and the original friend look bad. I don't know I just think you should hang out one on one in the beginning when meeting someone new. Then I have a feeling I may have joined in on his friends mouth running, which I guess was just for the sake of conversation. Not that I would have any other time. Haven't heard back from the original friend now. 😕 😠People are so complicated. I have a feeling the other friend didn't like me and was setting me up for failure there. You know how it is. Then they go back to the original friend and are like, I don't really like that guy and then they follow suit.

It doesn’t bother me. It happens on occasion. Luckily, haven’t had an experience like yours where the person killed the mood.
Yeah that's a good way to put it.
Not at all and I'll tell them that too.
I hate unannounced tag-alongs and people I hang out with know I prefer 1-1 time.
I’ll cancel the plan.
I don’t like to meet up with people I did not plan to.
Even after you arrived?
The last time my friend did it, and told him that i am busy and have something else to do.
Well, I didn't know until I showed up
I also didn’t know, that’s why i told him i have something else to do, and need to leave. Just came to tell him that in person 😂
Well, the only thing I see wrong with it is if it's a new friend, it won't take much for that other friend of his to sway his opinion of me if that makes sense.
