Did u have strict people that raised u? What was it like and did they ever get less strict?

No strictness doesn't work with me, maybe its since my parents were not the stern kind of strict. I just don't respond well to it, ill feel uncomfortable the entire time and i'd be very unwilling to do what they want. Instead reasoning was the way to go, "can't do X because of Y" if I then did it anyway thats the time to be strict but then i'd accept it since I violated being told why not.

My mother was pretty strict when I was more of a kid.. Til maybe I was 12 or 13 and then the strictness was still sort of there but calmed down quite a bit.. Apparently she wasn't strict enough with school though..

My parents were strict, and it wasn’t that bad, I was always get perfect grades and even got scholarships until high school. My twin got scholarships until college. And they less strict when i was getting adult and moved out.

I wouldn't call my parents strict. They had rules but really didn't hold us back from doing things we wanted to as long as my sister and I made responsible decisions.
