Why does my tenant get mad when I asked them to move out, because it took them a long time to move in but then say they can move out in a day?

A good family friend moved in with me a couple of months ago. I asked them if they wanted to move in because I felt bad for them because they were in a terrible living situation. After about 2 months, they are absolutely driving me crazy, so I asked them to move out. She started crying, and was like "I worked so hard and for so long to move in here". I felt bad and didn't know what to say. I decided to let them stay. They realize I am not happy, because I've just been acting kind of distant. She told me that if she wants me to move out and tell her, and that she could be moved out in one day. Then why was she so upset before that because it took her so long to move? I ask a lot of different questions about this situation, so if you're gonna troll then don't bother, because I won't respond
