I've inherited traits from both sides; my mother's height, physique and from my father's side the melanin and ability to tan easily without getting sunburnt, hair texture, as well as some of his facial features. The nose and hair color, however, seem to come courtesy of some mysterious, unidentified relative. Overall, I don't look like the spitting image of either of them, even though I lean slightly more towards my dad's looks.

I got genes for appearance from my mother's side but I don't look like my mother. I look close to my cousin and similar to my great grandma from mother side. I have jaw from my father's side, that's all.
Some phenotype genome sets repeat all three or four generations but practically never in next generation

I'm FAR BETTER-LOOKING than both, but I'm dark-skinned like my mother. My father, whom some brave dudes tried to call "Red" (he'd often kick their butt for calling him his second-most offensive appellation after the "N" word), had a caramel-coloured complexion.
