How to deal with a family member gaslighting you and calling your crazy?

Im in my early 50s & disabled my brother is late 50s and disability. I am in the process of filing for disability.. it appears I may have to court… today my sibling says to me “you over Exaggerate to the point nobody believes you and you lose all credibility regarding that and everything else… Of course your liar wants you to talk to a judge anyone that talks to you 15 minutes clearly realizes you’re not the average person…meaning IM crazy… wtf do people think its okay to talk to someone this way? even if someone was mentally unstable.. why not show them compassion he thinks he’s being helpful saying that to me like that information supposed to somehow help me…

I think he’s literally trying to help you present your disability claim. He’s just doing it in a very blunt and brutal way. If it really bothers you either tell him off or just don’t talk to him. Are you filing for a mental disability? Did he call your lawyer a liar or did you just misspell that?

It should have said lawyer not liar.. although I do have CPTSD. The Disability claim is not under mental health. I am a retired nurse. I was in a car accident. I was rendered disabled from that. telling someone they are crazy or in his case implying is not helpful, it’s rude.. being told if someone talks to you for 15 minutes they know you’re crazy. It’s not gonna help you get Disability.
