Is it okay to have different opinions from your parents as an adult?

That depends on whether their ideas are good or bad. In today's world many people are confused. In the old days there was an obvious correct way of being and society was much more stable. So where there used to be say 2 or 3 choices... now there's 100 and almost all of the people claiming to know what's best are like 4 year olds claiming they know how to drive your car.

I subscribe to the old school traditional biblical ideas. If someone tells me something that goes against that then I say they're wrong. And before any of the usual know-it alls claim I'm wrong: most of you are the same types who give muslims a pass and only want to hate on Christians so I don't really care.
