They been together 3 years, apparently he's been cheated on before and said he couldn't handle it and would probably go overboard if it happened with her, she's his longest as well

There are lots of ways to get rid of someone without hurting them. Unless you have reason to think he's a physically violent guy? I would probably just assume he meant that he would break up and remove the person from his life.

Cheated on by her or in a previous relationship? Also, why bother sticking with someone who cheats (in the case of if she did cheat)? Drop it likes it's hot and move on
