If your friend's partner is a jerk and you found your friend cheating on them, what would you do?

None of my friends would ever cheat on their partner. If their partner is a jerk, I would try to knock some sense into them and tell them to end the relationship before they (their partner) gets abusive.

These “jerks” have a tendency to potentially become an abuser; and I do not want my friend to become a victim of emotional/physical/sexual/psychological abuse. I know how hard victims have it. The trauma is life altering.

If my friend cheats on their partner, I would lose respect for them, and I would ask them to tell their partner right away.

Jerk or not, nobody deserves to get cheated on. If they refuse to tell the truth to their partner, I would tell on them. I cannot, in my good judgment, ever be friends with someone who cheats on their partner. Why not break up? Why cheat? Cheating is for cowards.

All i can do is advise them to break up beforehand. If they still decide to cheat, then that's on them. No I would not tell on my friend. They're my friend. I'd stay out of it.

Why would you get involved like that? Kind of a Karen type thing. Are you in a relationship with them? It’s literally none of your business. You might as well give up on your friendship at that point. Whoever your original friend was, is who you should support regardless of them cheating. Ok so what happens if they break up? Now you just hurt your friend for no reason because you weren’t even friends with the other person to begin with. I don't know it just sounds silly you would get involved in other peoples love issues. Maybe focus on yours instead. Yes cheating is disgusting but it’s not your relationship.
