Does middle age REALLY start at 35?

If that’s true, then the have nine more YEARS? I don’t want to be middle age!
People keep saying 35 is when middle age or mid life crisis start. I thought it was 40.
My cousin keeps saying she isn’t middle age and she’s young. She’s pregnant with her first child. Our cousin said, “Wow you wait until you’re middle age to have your first child. You’re a middle age women that’s pregnant. Should of had them young.” She tries to act like she’s 21. Is she middle age? Her husband is 41. She’s 35.

I don't know if it's possible to define middle age. It's not the same for everyone.

Maybe people who get married and have kids when they are young hit a mid-life crisis in their later 30s and try to experience things they missed. I don't know.

All I know is, I had a great time after 34. I had money, I traveled a lot, I had fantastic girlfriends and the best sex of my life. I was in great shape, looked and felt young.

I got married at 42 and retired at 55 when I was still at the top of my game. My 50th birthday didn't even make me feel old.

I may have started slowing my pace a bit after 55 and taking life easier, but my wife and I still traveled, worked our property, and had lots of fun. I also had a rock band until 2020, at age 66, when covid mandates shut everything down.

My 60th birthday was the first one that made me feel like I was starting to get old.

Anyway, I never experienced any middle age trauma.

Most women live to late 80s early 90s true middle age for women is mid forties.

I think the average life expectancy is close to 80 right? So that means technically middle age should be around 40.
