What age does middle age really start?

I’ve always thought it was like 40. I could be wrong. I’m 33 in a half about to turn 34 in November so I’m definitely not a young young adult anymore. I feel like it but still. I looked it up and it said 40-60 but some say 35 starts Middle age. Damn I’m not that far. 😳
If that’s true then I have a year in a half until I’m middle age but I know you can’t always believe everything you read or hear on the web. I’m just curious.

I was thinking around 35, but who knows. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with your looks. And your libido is stronger than ever. But you no longer pass for a young adult. And people in their late teens to their mid-20s think you are old. (They have no idea. LOL)

Right? I remember being the age when I thought 30 was old. ROFL. Of course, I didn't realize that at 30, you're only getting started. My 30s turned out to be fantastic.

It's easy: look up your life expectation, based on your region and year, and divide by three. For example, as an American male born in 1992, I have a life expectancy of just over 75 years. Obviously it's much higher now, since I survived all the dangerous years of childhood, but having one standard makes it easier for everyone. So for me, youth would've been 0-24, middle age 25-49, and fifty up would be old age.

I don't think you'd find many fifty-year-olds who'd agree, though.
