Lately my little brother has been acting very hostile, he really thinks he is the greatest to walk this planet on every surface. But really he isn’t, he also doesn’t really care what my mom says and he doesn’t realize how foolish he often looks doing this.
But on the other hand he has been copying me, wearing the same clothes, even stealing my clothes, sometimes use my music to impress people, but he also sometimes talks like me, especially in discussions or when he wants to sound smart.
Ever since we were young he always needed to be better than me and he still wants to be I guess.
Anyone have any advice because it’s quite hard to live with someone that’s almost constantly hostile

Establish boundaries. When he is disrespectful or hostile, end the discussion just as you would with another adult.
Yeah true, but that isn’t my strong suit and he knows it
It's a skill. Try it. "If you are going to be ugly, I'm out."
Thanks, been trying
Sounds like you might have an ego problem.
The part that is completely incorrect is him disrespecting his momma
Before answering this question I would like to know how old he is?
Almost 18
I was one to grow faster than others, he'll hopefully grow out of it, but he'd either need to learn by learning from others or learning from experience. Overall remind yourself he's your little brother maybe he wants to be like you and the hostility comes from wanting to be "cool" which everyone knows is not cool.
Does he listen to you?
Thank you, that’s what i try to keep telling myself
Usually not, but especially when he needs me he will.
Sounds like little brother activities, he just needs to mentally grow up a little, hopefully he will, some takes a whole lifetime, others will take 1 huge lesson/experience let's hope he's a fast learner, but promise me something, love him like a big bro, try to real 1 on 1 talk to him.
Will do, thanks
His age age?
Almost 18
