Did I Overstep in Defending My Mother Against a Neighbor's Inappropriate Comment?

My mother is 38 years old and looks much younger than her age. In short, some people perceive her as a "MILF." My mother is also a widow. Our neighbor said that my mother dresses very provocatively and in a sexy manner, and that he enjoys it. Our neighbor told me that he wanted to sleep with her, and I argued with him about it. As a result, my mother got angry with me. My mother told me that I was exaggerating. Did I do something wrong?

Whatever this "MILF" is, it does not really sound nice. I have no idea of the meaning of that abbreviation but since you involve the term "sexy", I do presume that it must be directly linked with sex/pornography.

Now, 2 things disturb me about your mother.

1. She is a widow yet she dresses provocatively as to want to be noticed sexually and

2. She gives YOU hell for taking her defense against a potential predator rather than to the predator himself.

In other words, you mother does everything possible to be seen as perhaps a person this light morals rather than a dignified widow.

No, you were obviously not wrong to address that issue with that creepy neighbor.
