I told my cousin I wanted to work as a life coach but instead of doing paid consultations, I would produce academic literature so my clients could teach themselves by buying my teaching devices instead of relying on me for paid verbal consultations every week. He thought I was faking expertise on my topic for income. I was not offended, but I had a similar issue happen when I used to work at my old sales job, where people thought my personality was fake cause I was always super nice to everyone, and at church, I knew a girl who thought my religion was fake. I once asked her how to pronounce her name and she thought I knew and was pretending not to know cause I wanted to embarrass her. I was not trying to embarrass her but she screamed at me when I tried to apologize.

Just be yourself girl
Stop worrying about what other people think
It sounds to me like you know exactly what you want and exactly what you are talking about
Trust your own intuition that comes from God
Listen to your gut, so to speak
Anyways, I think it’s a great idea to create academic literature so other people can teach themselves
I prefer to teach myself by reading a great self help book… etc.
