If you're actually 16, you might want to hold off on such a pronouncement until you're about 15 years older. Or more.

I didn't decide to have a child until I was 38 years old. Had one the next year. Took me a long time to decide. Glad I did.

You might be one of those who won't have children. But don't make any pronouncements too soon. Between 16 and 25 your worldview may change. And between 25 and 35, there will be other changes in your life you cannot know, nor predict.

Just tell them that you don't want children. They will just probably see it as a phase but if your heart is set on not having kids then they will have to learn to accept it.
