How did it work out having a roommate of a different gender?

We never had a problem with it. The third time, I was living for a few days, maybe a week or so, with two girls and there was no problem at all.
The first two times, I had no problems except for girl 2 eventually went nuts but that had nothing at all to do with her and I living together.
The 4th time, we lived together for several years and never had a problem.

Never did that. I had 2 roommates for one year. Both friends of mine, both guys. Other that that I have always lived alone or with my wife/kids. (not counting when I lived with mom/dad).

I wouldn't have done that nor ever dated some girl who lived with a guy.

I told her in gentle words she was friends zone, so we hung out in her apartment and she trusted me same bed. We were able to compromise about air conditioning etc. But we were not room mates all week.

Never had : and usually I'd imagine colleges and universities same thing insist on the usual tradition of same gender same dorm I'd have thought to avoid antics or avoid a lawsuit if there's ever harrassment claims

I've had the same male roommate for 6 years. It's been great. My only complaint has just been minimal things like dishes and laundry

He does his chores. It's just how he does them. For example: I'll do the dishes with scalding water to cut grease and oils off. He uses cold water... cause it feels better on his hands... but then I'll feel some of the plates and pots have a bit of an oily texture to them. I've asked him not to throw my bras in the dryer if he washes my clothes with his, but he still does sometimes 🤬

I mean, I don't mind him doing my laundry. I'll do his too while I'm at it. But at the very least don't put my delicates in with a big load, AND KEEP MY BRAS OUT OF THE DRYER... the wire ones tend to warp in there

No nudity or sex with others in public spaces. You eat all my snacks, I eat you and if you have a "guest over" you can't complain if the other person gets off in the next room
