So if you had twin children a boy & a girl and as they got older (15) is it fair to give one more money than the other weekly. My daughter says she deserves more than $100 a week because girls need more things than boys do. I don’t understand my wife and I give our kids pretty much all that they ask for. Shit my parents didn’t do what we do for our kids. And we don’t hear our son complaining. What do you guys& girls think?

I would not give her more than her brother. We all have to make choices. She doesn't really need all those things. I think it's great that you are letting them have autonomy at that age, instead of making them beg you for everything. I gave my daughter a clothing allowance when she was about 14. She bought everything at resale shops and spent the rest on CDs and games. That was fine. I told her she could whatever she wanted as long as she didn't get sent home from school. I hated dress codes, but there wasn't anything I could do about it.

Girls are just more expensive between the makeup and skin care alone we do to look pretty then you always have to worry about the clothes and the new it thing if she really wants more tell her okay but when your 16 you get a job I work for everything I wanted when I was younger and glad my parents made me

Yeah, that's unfair for the boy. I never understood why parents treat their daughters better than their sons. The boy is going to feel like he's less than his sister and girls in general.
