We were not dating and we've only known each other for 3 months. His best friend is my office mate and we are all grad students on the same floor. Most hangouts are done as a large group but he's kinda always the center of the group.
So that night we went out to a bar to play darts and after that because i was stumbling and he obviously didn't want to walk me all the way back to my apt, we decided that i go sleep at his place instead. He has a bunker bed so on the way home he told me i was gonna sleep on the lower bed and he on upper one because he believed i was too drunk to climb up.
Then when we actually got there, he set pillow and blankets all on the lower bed. We just talked and listened to Spotify and tried his double-wick toasted chestnut candle and filled up the humidifier and set the alarm clock for next morning and drank lots of water and he refilled his ibuprofen coffee cup. I have this ginger candy that both of us really like but that night i had only one left in the box so he told me to take it myself and the way he said it was like a mom towards a toddler.
I was whispering because i didn't want to wake up his roommate but he thought that made him uncomfortable. The last sentence he said before he passed out was "just please go to sleep". He put his arm on my pillow and i said "what's that" feeling something warm but not realizing it was his arm and then he just withdrew it. He gave me the Afgan his grandma made him.
and there we were, him without top and me fully clothes, sleeping through 6 hours without anything happening.
Exactly a week before this when i was tipsy after a house party and he dropped me off at my apt, i told him i love him and he didn't know how to respond and we have not talked about it since. I really don't know how to make it more obvious that the ball is in his park to either fully reject me or actually do something.
I feel bad for making this section so lengthy...
