How easy is it for you to maintain friendships?

I would not say it has been easy... but my friends have been my friends for around 10 to 22 years now, and it's been quite the trip... mostly ups, some downs for sure but overall, a great experience and a rewarding one as well

I know I feel fortunate to have met them, for sure

and, since most of them if not all of them... are from school days, back then it was quite "easy" to maintain the contact with them, since we would see each other pretty much, every single day... on the most recent years though... with many of us moving out, moving afar, finding our ways and also meeting other friends and partners, things just change... we might see each other less in person but we still maintain the contact almost every single day... that, we do it online

again, I feel lucky that we can do that

I never worry about friendships. Because I know they'll always be right there when they need me.😆

The FACT of the matter is you're only 50% of any relationship. All you need concern yourself with is whether you're doing your part. And then let the chips fall where they may. I learned a long time ago to not take what anyone does deeply personal. I have thousands of aquaintances. But the people I call friend I count on one hand. These are people I have known for AT LEAST a decade. And I would walk through fire for them.

Yes, I'm good in estimating needs and desires of others, often it doesn't cost much effort to satisfy those needs, sometimes it's small gestures of acting in interest of other person. On the other hand I learned it hard way that when I dump a person they get really angry if I stop to harshly being interested in them. It's better to lead them on to make a mistake and than exploit this mistake to get rid of them in an elegant way.
It might sound hard but people come and people go.

Not easy. I have problems with hyper focusing on one person at a time, it’s a bpd trait. When focused on that one person, no one else matters much. It can be a relationship or a friend, though these days it’s my kid. It can last weeks to months to even years before I snap out of it and go back to a normal level of being social with everyone.

I am not one to seek wide ranging flocks of friends and instead choose wisely. How well I maintain them is on us keeping in touch. Maybe once a year is enough but not seeing each other over years is not uncommon.

So easy is more accurate to say meaningful and timeless.

I leave usually because it usually gets disrespectful. Some idiots hit you so you hit them back. Others ghost you so you block. Others keep praising themselves in front of me. Others get jealous and the WORST dream of having lesbian sex with me. They get horny when I talk to them.

I'm not putting in extra effort, I've had great friendships, but most don't last moving, changing environments, etc., they fade away. "Everyone whose time is up leaves one day.

I've lost about maybe 3 that were good friendships. 5 of the 6 best friends I had in life are all deceased and the other one screwed me out of 5k when he got on drugs back I 2004. Now I'm alone.
