I definitely agree with that. I don't think I would have turned out as good of a person if it wasn't for my grandmother, great aunt, aunt, grandfather, and great uncle. They helped shape me into the woman I am today. Choosing to do good in the world instead of evil. My mother's best friend who I consider my Godmother also helped shape me into the woman I am today.

So friends and family I believe are very important in helping the child turn into a good decent person. Not just the parents.

I absolutely agree with that. Our friends are always able to correct our kids (but not spank) if they are doing wrong. We dont get mad at them at all (our friends, I mean) for doing it. Family are allowed to correct them too. We may not always be there to see them doing something wrong so we believe in group parenting in that aspect. In the end, my partners and I are ultimately the main caregivers of course.

I think a good village is helpful, but I don't agree with that phrase. A bad village could pollute that kid.

It takes a family. A mom and a dad. Maybe some grandparents and some aunts and uncles.

Not a village. Not school systems and government agencies.

Not really, people can do so without, however I believe it's hell of a lot easier to do so with.
