Because he cares about you. He has higher expectations for you then for the niece. He wants you to be the best you can. Criticizing is probably the wrong way to do it but I have to believe most parents have good intentions for their children. things just get twisted in the way 2 different people look at the same things idea. Be yourself be aware he cares be aware of why he is critiquing you. Smile because your lucky he cares and your still able to do whatever you want.
