Are you very close with someone from your family?

I’m close with a few family members too..
Those small, consistent moments calls, little check ins, shared laughter mean more than grand gestures.. ☺️
It’s in the quiet understanding, the way someone truly sees u, that bonds are built..
Funny how some connections just resonate so naturally, grounding u even when the rest of the world feels chaotic..
Makes u wonder who else notices that same depth in u..
At the end of the day, the people who stick around, who truly see n respect your heart n mind, r the rare ones..
N those r the connections worth cherishing..
I am closest to my sister. We have gone through a lot together and we always have had each other's back. I honestly don't know where I would be without her encouragement and support.
The only one who is still around is my sister. She's three years younger than me.
We live 8 to 10 hours away from each other now so haven't seen each other in quite a few years. But we are very, very close. We text and exchange photos all the time. We talk on the phone once a month or so and, when we do, we chat for hours.
Our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all long gone, and we are not very close to our cousins and their families.
Not anymore! Except for my ex-sisters, everyone in my immediate family is dead, all my aunts, uncles and grandparents, a few of my cousins, too. Most of the ones left I want nothing to do with and the nice ones live too far away.
You've experienced the death of many loved ones, and you seem to be drifting apart from many people. The people who remain are also very distant from you, and some relationships have even become less close. Ultimately, you've learned to be alone. You can travel more and attend more gatherings.
@chenyu Most of those that "drifted away" did so of their own accord. In some cases greed pulled them away, in others it was siding with the wrong people, in others it's just that one or t`other just doesn't bother talking to the other. Quite often, it's to do with distance.
I've been alone most of my life! even when I had family, none paid any attention to me or treated me like an idiot. I was an only child in a family of 6!
I can't travel anywhere!! I have no money, no job and the bank wants to take about 30,000 more than I have, or my house! This is through NO fault of my own!! My stupid aunt pissed away over $11,000,000 on scammers, including mortgaging the house to pay for some of it and then left ME the house and the bill when she died!!
For most of the past 40-some years, there's been a family reunion picnic held near me almost every summer and, so far, I've been to 2 of them!! They NEVER invite me and I almost never know when they're being held!!
I know you say you feel helpless and alone, but remember, none of this is your fault. It's normal to feel angry, confused, and hurt. I don't know what support system you have, but if you need to talk or vent, don't hesitate to reach out. Sometimes, talking to someone who's willing to listen can help—even if it doesn't immediately resolve everything.
@chenyu I KNOW it's not my fault!! Had my greedy ex-sisters just left me the fuck alone to stay in the house mom intended me to stay in, NONE OF THIS would've happened!!!
Not much confusion going on here!
I know and, thank you!! Where were you several years ago when I needed someone to talk to and got NO ONE? I wandered the streets completely alone, for hours, half the time in tears or close to it, hoping SOMEONE would take the time to talk with me and maybe toss a few ideas my way and I got NOTHING!! I've had to sift through ALL of this by myself!!
I WOULD talk about it with my wonderful, new girlfriend but on one hand, I don't want to bring her down with it and, secondly, my brand new phone stopped working 3 months ago (2 months after I bought it) so, I can't even call her (or vice versa) anymore!!
It'd be a GREAT help if someone could LOAN me the money for the mortgage so I could bring my stuff here knowing I'm not getting kicked out of this house, too, and I could start looking for work to pay them (the loaner (s)) back!!
About 32 years ago, a friend of ours was getting arrested for having marijuana and bunch of local bands got together and had a benefit gig to raise money to get/keep him out of jail! This was a song from the set we played. www.youtube.com/watch
How come I can't get anybody to help ME raise money for shit I need? I started a GoFundMe page 6 years ago, I got ONE gift and it was from a close friend of mine!! And he mostly did it to try to get the ball rolling for others to chip in!! Even though it was a gift, I still intend to pay him back for it!!
I went to my bank to ask for a loan! They kept saying I'm GOING to get it but, they never DID loan me the money and I lost the house and most of my life!!

Oh yes! I have a large family, 4 older sisters, parents, grandparents, etc. We grew up rather old fashioned and are very close as a result, I believe.(We still all live within 20 miles of each other) And yes, my next oldest sister is my best friend.
The only person in my family who made me feel like he really gets me even when I don't say a word, and he doesn't need to say anything, either... I understand him, is my brother. We were so close like twins when we were little.
My brother and I are best friends’ we talk every week , we live 5 hours apart so we don’t get to see each other as much as we like to but we keep in touch on a steady basis
Nope , moved away from them over 20 years ago. Kept some contact with my one parent who is still alive but it’s few and far between and ALWAYS up to me and we were never close.
Really everyone in my family are close. I’m probably closest to my sister and dad.
No, not at all. I don't even know where they live.
Girl, you’ve had so much work done I thought that was your cousin and your mom tf
My little sister but it’s more like I give her advice than the other way around
I'm not close to any of my family. I try to stay away from them unless I really have to.
No, i really do not have any family except for the one i made for myself.
I'm extremely close to my aunt, she helped raise me. She, her husband and I went everywhere together growing up 😊
My sister is able to talk with me and share secrets; keep it between us. Learning how to be a woman as a young pre-teen.
Same here... Really close with my cousin.
We used to share apartment when we were studying. Shared every secret and were best friends. Still we talk everyday, talk about everything..
It was my oldest brother. I lost him almost 2 years ago now.
