Were you the Cinderella Child or Were you you're parents back bone?

In my experience as one of the oldest it was expected of me to raised my younger siblings up til this day my siblings are in their 20s and I speak to them as if I was the mom and not the sister. Did you have this experience? I had to wash bottles at the age of 5 years olds.

I was on the other end of the spectrum. Youngest of 5. The baby of the family and am still treated like it. 😳 My oldest sister didn't have it as hard as you. She didn't have to play 'mom' very often (We have awesome parents. Very old fashion but awesome) but growing up on a little farm and being the oldest she did have more responsibility than us younger ones and would often have to keep one eye on us. (Just to make sure the baby of the family didn't fall in the pig pen again. True story.🤣)

my parents are very selfish and just shouldn't have had kids, so i grew up very quickly

a part of that was helping raise my younger sisters and they look up to me, but not ever as a mother. they know i'd do anything for them tho

I was definitely the Cinderella child. After my dad died when I was 10, my mother and older sister treated me like a dog literally. I was forced to clean the kitchen, bathroom and vacuuming. My older sister would drag me around by my shirt collar like a dog and my mother never did anything to protect me. She just told me to stay out of her way. She got all new clothes and mine were from goodwill. One day my sister and cousin were beating me up I thought they would kill me. My sister stepped on my belly. Somehow I managed to get out through a window not before they tore my shirt off me and tore my hair from my head. I ran to my uncles house and he adopted me thsnk God!

I had a good upbringing with discipline and love.

We've a big family and we were taught to help out around the house and to help the family. I was the younger and my older siblings especially sisters did babysit me and did make dinner for the family often.

Taught us responsibility and made us capable of looking after ourselves. Got us ready for adulthood.

I’m also the oldest and don’t have that experience at all. I wasn’t expected to do anything like that.
