As person with no children yet, what’s your advice on potentially dating someone with kids?

Don’t assume you’re going to replace the other parent, and respect whatever boundaries are in place. Don’t ask the kids to call you mom/dad and you might be expected to assume some responsibility depending on the child’s age. Constantly communicate with your partner, and if the child is open to communicating then also talk with them. Find what works, and make sure your boundaries are in place about children very early on, as well as being aware of your partner’s boundaries about their kids.

depends on if the dad is still in the picture. If yes than no I'm out but if I'm stepping in and becoming dad that's different. I've always wanted kids and I think adoption is most ethical though given the world fucking sucks right now making new babies feels unethical to me since I can't promise those kids a future worth having. If dads 100% out of the picture and you have kids than yea I'd be cool with it assuming in time if things progressed to that stage I would be seen as the dad.
