Is 5'1 in height the new norm for a 10 year-old girl?

My friend's only child (10 year-old girl) is now at 5'1. My friend is 5'8 herself an her husband is 6'3. I guess that explains it.

But is that nowadays the new norm for a 10 year-old girl, to already be a 5 footer? If you want to take a guess, what would you say her adult height will be?

Wow so judging by her parents and others in the family that seem taller than usual, I'm guessing she'll likely be quite tall as an adult too.

Considering that the average female height worldwide approximates 5'4 based on statistics and she stands only three inches shy of that height at only 10 years old, just imagine how tall she'll probably be as an adult

For that genetic combination, sure, 5' 1" tall seems reasonable for a girl of that age. That father is tall so his genetic contribution is one reason why this girl may grow even taller than her mother.

True. If I had to take a guess and she ends up taller than her mom then her adult height may be 5'10.

and she'll probably be tall but you never know. i was like 5'1" at 10 and knew another girl who was, yet i'm tall now and she isn't

I was just wondering but I've never seen a 5ft or 5'1 ft tall girl when I was a kid. That's quite new to me. Judging by her parents and other family members that are also on the tall side (both males and females), then it's likely she'll be tall as an adult.
