Nah, I tend to be direct, blunt, and confrontational. I am that guy who will say just about anything to anyone anywhere. I will make you freeze in your tracks or make you laugh so hard that you spit your drink out through your nose. Then I'll comment on your manners and how your momma raised you.

Ooor... I say nothing and just sit there silent. Waiting for you to fill the silence. A different form of confrontation. It can really unnerve a lot of people.

Learning to negotiate, compromise, disarm someone with words and without sparking a conflict


All these things are the basis of diplomacy


And I end up using them every day

I prolly am but it's just 'cuz I'm too dumb to really realize what it is that is actually going on so I say something totally unrelated to anything which some people may mistake as diplomacy but it's just me being clueless as usual. 😊

It really depends on the other person. When you realize most people in life really do not care about you, only about themselves. That you're just bit player in the world they call "their life". You realize they only want peace on THEIR terms. So it's a matter of giving them what they want without sacrificing your self respect. Over the years I've become more and more skilled on zeroing in on what someone's game is. And as long peace comes without a personal cost to me, yes I can remain diplomatic. If not I'm prepared to do whatever necessary. But yes, I'd rather remain civil. Anger begets anger, hate begets hate.

I’d say yes, I’m naturally the type who keeps things calm, listens first, and tries to understand before reacting.

But being diplomatic doesn’t mean I avoid the truth.

I just deliver it in a way that doesn’t create unnecessary damage.

So yeah, I stay level-headed, fair, and intentional with my words, but I don’t sugarcoat when honesty is needed.
