If one person started insulting you on this website, would you insult them back?

I probably wouldn’t.

Why?
Because I think if you look happy in front of the people who try to put you down it makes them feel like they haven’t succeeded in upsetting or annoying you.

If I insult somebody back that would make it look like they have triggered me.
I don’t want other people to feel like they have succeeded in upsetting or annoying me.

It would depend on what I thought the motivator was. A lot of people on this site have an agenda and are very predictable. So like if I disagreed with a woman and she insulted me she's probably thinking I embody a lot of the stereotypes she's built up in her mind. And first I'd probably knock her off her guard by taking a tact she didn't expect. While she's scrambling to find footing to take another shot at me I'd co tinder peppering her with responses she didn't expect. It's points like this that I've learned G@G has to people. 1. Those that have a mindset and will d i e on that hill regardless of how painfully wrong they've been proven. And 2. People who are only trying to make a point and when they realize you are not their enemy will call off the attack.

I guess I didn't answer your questions really because it really depends. I'll most the time tell somebody, "have a nice day🙂" and then go on with my life. But in rare cases I WILL NOT back down. I once argued with a G@Ger for 17 days straight.😆 till finally they gave up and blocked me. But that is far from my norm. It all depends on a myriad of factors.

I would try not to... but sometimes I cannot help myself and return fire with some sarcasm. Mostly I try to just ignore them. But baiting trolls can be amusing if I am bored.

Nah, most insults come from anonymous users, which makes them obsolete regardless.

No, of course not. I will just ignore that person. However, if that person also resorts to messaging and insulting me then I will block that person because then that person would have given me the reason to block them.
