That’s just my thoughts on the matter.
How much do you lie to kids, your own or someone else’s?

Trending & News Of course I will lie to kids whenever the need arises. That is called a "white lie" because a number of toddlers and small children are incapable to understand some situations of life.
Lying is part of the education of a child. The internet states that:
"Lying is not inherently bad for children, as it is a normal part of their cognitive development, but lying to them is generally considered bad for the parent-child relationship
. Children may lie to test boundaries or avoid consequences, and this is a normal developmental phase.
A white lie may be necessary. Imagine a small child that is incapable to understand what death is and finds himself confronted with the death of a parent. Are you going to tell him/her bluntly that the parent is dead or are you likely to try to make a small lie and say perhaps "mummy is gone for a long time"
Lying is literally NEVER “necessary”. It’s lazy at best. You don’t want to find a way to explain something difficult to a child, not to preserve them. Nothing you wrote holds water. How do you know that they can’t understand or handle the truth if you refuse to actually tell them? Did you even actually think about that nonsense before you wrote it? 😂😂😂
I never lie. Lying is ALWAYS wrong.
I don't deal with kids that often, but when my baby is born I'm gonna lie all the time. Santa clause, tooth fairy, don't turn on the back light in the car. Mommy knows what she's' doing. You know basically everything. That's good parenting
You think lying constantly is good parenting? 😂😂😂😂
In truth, there are some things that children are not mature enough or psychologically developed enough to know about. Having certain information too early may harm them and their development, so you shouldn't do it. If that involves lying to them, then so be it.
You can’t prove that. If you don’t tell children things because you don’t think they can handle it, then you have ZERO evidence that they can’t handle it. That’s the absolute dumbest argument for choosing to lie to people ever. You lie because YOU can’t handle the truth, not because the person you’re lying to can’t. I defy you to produce empirical evidence to support your claims AND show that there is NO other option in life but to lie to people you claim to care about.
While you’re at it, tell us all how much you love being lied to. How great that feels when the truth is revealed. The truth ALWAYS comes out.
All the time, santa claus, tooth fairy probably more. I loved emaralds examples here!
