By a lot I mean four or more. It seems weird considering how much work children are for women. Obviously they have to carry them but even after they're born the mother is usually the primary caregiver. How can a woman with that many children have time to do anything else?

I remember some old tv show where a mom who had so many kids was applauded as if she was the best mom ever just because. When she was asked to describe the personality of each child she gave one child one quality like he's the funny one, and she likes math... applaudes again, and I sat there thinking there is no way she knows her children and how seen do you feel as a child if your parent can only describe you with one word? How is it that a mom who gives birth to lets say 11 kids is a better mom then lets say to someone who gives birth to less? Im sure the number is not the only thing deciding the quality of a parent but still.

They have studied why some women (not all) do this and it is the reward, attention they feel when pregnant and they like the kids small, needing them. So by the time that kid grows up somewhat it is time for another.

Then you have to consider those who because of a religious belief, culture chose to have many kids.

One should really ask the ones chosing this themselves but then again they might not know the answers, always, themselves, not really.

It's fine with me and I am very good with children from elementary age through middle school. I don't have much experience interacting with too many high school aged ones though. She'd need to work and contribute though. I'm not supporting that by myself.

The meaning of life is to give life meaning, and everyone’s got their own idea of what gives them purpose. There’s women who are naturally maternal and sort of lean into that.
