My mom and I go to work on her rental house every weekend. The ride is about an hour and then we work for about 3 hours. All she plays is fucking morgan wallen. I can't stand his music. On the way to her rental house, a morgan wallen song came on and I was overcome with this intense rage. I almost punched the dash to my moms car, but didn't because I knew that would be a massive overreaction.

Extreme rage is rarely “normal”. You need to develop healthier outlets for your frustrations.
That said, when i was younger i preferred hard rock and heavy metal to dance music. That hasn’t changed, but when i was younger i went to dance clubs because that’s what my friends were doing on weekends. I loathed those clubs and i got into a lot of fights in them. I knew enough people that i was never permanently barred, but i’d be booted for months and my friends were always pissed that i was getting kicked out, and sometimes they were booted too; just for being associated with me. 🤷🏼♂️
Anyway, when we went to rock clubs i never had a problem. Not once. I would chill, drink, dance and even mosh, but never one fight. There was definitely a frustration factor in the musical ambience. I always thought it was ironic how people associate heavy metal with violence but i only got rowdy when bombarded by dance music. 😂😂😂
On top of that, i only ever saw one fight at my favorite rock joint, and both dudes were gracious enough to go outside and settle their dispute like men. Then they came back in and enjoyed the music and booze like gentlemen, together.
I used to get a little annoyed, as I got older and realized we are all different, it did not bother me as much.
