Why dont americans take care of their parents?

Seems like the only adults who take care of their parents are always every other culture except American. All around the world, people care for their parents. Only Americans do not. American grandparents also refuse to help babysit grandchildren. While in other cultures, its not unusual for grandparents to babysit. In America, the only option is daycare where they let total strangers care for their precious little ones, who can range from a child molester to serial killer. Leaving the elderly parents in nursing homes being tortured and neglected by burn out staff

My wife and I took care of all our parents. I had an aunt and uncle that lived nearby that I was also responsible for. There was a time when we were on a first name basis for everyone that worked in the local Emergency Room.

Many Americans were abused as children and remember their parents' maltreatment of them.

No, not every American neglects their elderly parents, or tosses them into a nursing home. From my experience that’s actually in the minority.
