my dad pretends it doesn't exist but he does enjoy the VIP seats and my mom asks questions in the neighborhood of the topic hoping some sort of intel will accidentally fall out, so i give her juicy tidbits now and again. she thinks i had my first sex sometime between age 12 and today 🤷‍♀️

Not really. Once in a blue moon, they might ask. Like once or twice a year at most. I think they understand like anyone else, that love is something for you to figure out. Not them. And as long as you're happy, they're happy. Although I'm sure my mom would like for me to give her some grandkids while she's around. I hope I can one day. But if not, I know she'll still be fine.

If ever a family member asked now I’d reply honestly but it’s not likely to happen given we don’t really speak anymore , apart from the almost obligatory happy birthday / Christmas messages , checking im still alive messages 😂

Going back though I only recall being asked once and I think I replied rather rudely so perhaps that’s on me

My mom does ask. I always lie, telling her how happy we are when we aren't. I don't need to give her all the drama. I know she doesn't really care she is just nosey and wants to be all up in my business. I get away with it because she lives far away.

Yes, sometimes.  Families ask out of care or curiosity, but how much you share is up to you.  Your love life is personal , you don’t owe anyone full access to it.
