How are you in your relationships? Romantic, friends, and family?

So a little fact about me is, I seek out the damaged men! Naturally! I know we're all fucked up in our own ways, but the ones I choose are depressed and have daddy issues. All I gotta do is look at em!!!

Aside from that, I like to not start a bunch of drama with people I ACTUALLY like, so a lot of people say I'm easy to talk to and a generally cute person, not to float my own boat, hehe.

Around family though, I completely chill out. Me and my little bro are two peas in a pod, and we're so weird together, we laugh at the same things, share food, cuddle while watching TV. We rarely ever fight, which I'm happy about. Not all of my familial relationships are like that though.

This is a FANTASTIC question.

For me... I'm the friend. I'm the guy you can talk to. I'm the calm one. I'm the logical one. I'm not Eeyore or the party pooper but I will be the guy who is the designated driver or adds a little sanity. In a relationship, you have my all. I won't smother you, but you've got all of me. If we're friends, your secrets will stay with me. I'll know when to tell you you're being an idiot or when to stay quiet -- and I'll do those. If you call me at 2 in the morning because you're drunk at some guy's apartment you just hooked up with and have no clue how to get home, I'll pick you up, not offer judgement, and provide coffee. I'm easy to talk to and fun to talk to. I'm detail oriented so expect me to remember that you like lavender scent but not the lavender from Bath and Body Works as well as important dates and, I'm sorry, useless trivia. I'm safe.

Family is a little more complex. My entire family is (or was) competitive. Someone had to be the best. Better. Right. Whatever. We couldn't just spend time together. It was like being a stodgy tugboat next to a racing yacht. But I was dependable and reliable. The others were flashy, but not always there. That was (is) rough.

I have a big family who is close (though, I am, physically, far away from them). I am very comfortable with my family. I am, obviously!, the “cool uncle.”

Romantic relationships? I am, for whatever reason, always reticent to get close.

Ooh, what an interesting question. I'm kind of an oddball (though most of the regulars on here already know that):

Romantic: apparently when I do find a guy willing to date me, I go after guys that apparently have no interest in me, outside of a friendship that is (unrequited love). I give out great relationship advice, but I sure as heck can't help myself when it comes to dating and finding a guy, lol

Friends: decent. I tend to attract the "oddballs" or people that don't fit in with the norms of society. If someone is a geek or odd, more than likely we'll be great friends. Though I'm mostly an introvert, so I won't go out actively seeking friends; they usually find me.

Family: we're okay. I'm close with my parents, especially now that they're getting older, I respect them for all they do/did for me growing up. But my siblings? Meh, we're civil, but not close.

Romantic relationships are non existent and I don’t feel like putting effort into the casual ones I have so no go there.


Family; relationships with immediate family members are good. I check in and go over life with them.


Friends: best friends are essentially family. But the ones that don’t have that status I suppose I’m lacking on talking to them, but it also goes both ways they don’t reach out to me either so I guess we’re in limbo and I’m actually okay with that.
