I judge people that aren't excited about a day meant for love... There are like 1000 different ways to love. If negative emotions make a person feel better then love, it makes me feel pity for them. 😕 it makes me want to help them... pity can be one of those 1000s of paths to finding love.

To think, Someone would rather hate the world for what it is rather then enjoy it...

I have a really hard time understanding that.

No. I'm a man so I completely understand and relate to that cynicism. Valentine's day is for men to celebrate and show appreciation for the woman in their lives. The opposite is not true, aside from token gestures some women may make.
It should really be called Female Entitlement Day.

No I don’t. People have the right to like (or dislike) a holiday. Plus, Valentine’s Day isn’t even a real holiday. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I do, because it's kind of shallow cynicism anyway, it's easy to be blasé, it's much harder to be Diogenes.
I don't, because it's not fun to end up jaded, plus the mercantile component of this all doesn't help it.

Love is hard to do well. So the market has discovered they can sell cards and flower and chocolates and poor-quality dining experiences all on one day and that is enough for many to think they are romantic heros and heroines through another 364 days of fear and neglect.
... Note to self: Gotta work on this mood I'm in...
