Have you ever sold everything and just left town to start over?

I am in process of selling my home because my ex financially screwed me big time and I have no other way out of this mess , but to sell my home and start over somewhere else , I am going to leave my job as well as soon as the house sells , because I don’t really care for it , it’s not really what I want to do. My brother offered me to move in with him, in upstate New York , close to the Finger Lakes , which is a beautiful area. So I am really thinking about going there and starting over , Have you ever just picked up and left town?

Well sorry to hear your situation, that's pretty messed up and well the way I suggest you keep your mind strong and don't dwell on the bad stuff even though it may not be easy to do , I have been through lots of troubles times worse then what your dealing with and I git through it all because I always think of what my dad used to tell me when I was a kid , and that's to just know there will be ups and downs in your life maybe even worse then you could ever imagine but just know and remember one thing and my dad would say to me No matter how bad your life may be some day , that it will get better again so it will always get better I assure you , granted ut. may not seem like it at that time but it will get better I guarantee you it will so never give up on what's important and would point his finger at me 👈🏻. Always take care of l yourself first and keep your mind set with the saying The glass of life water is always half full not half empty ! Meaning don't be a pessimistic person you need to be optimistic and be positive making lemons in to lemonade and adding sugar of course cause it's air better with sugar right ! Well this episode in your life is just that and probably the best thing for you cause your gonna make a lot of new friends and find a job you really like and meets anyway better guy that your ex doesn't hold a candle too not even close and just remember to thank your ex later on because if he didn't screw all this up in your lives while you were together , that. you would have never been this happy as you are now / future and would be stuck in that same place still so keep your chin up and be positive about all you do cause your gonna be just fine. its just gonna take a little time but you will get there cause you still have a half a glass of water to drink and you won't be empty in life ever only full ! Best to you I know it will all make sense just get some rest and wake up and kick ass in your life as you only have one life what are you gonna do with it? Well that's easy to answer your gonna Win at everything you do !

Nope, it sounds like a great adventure but I imagine it is horrifying. I hope it turns out good for you. I went to school in upstate New York and it was a very nice area.

I did, but I took my stuff with me.

I quit my job at the telephone company which paid really well. And I liked my job.

But I met someone and had an LDR relationship with him for one year.

I was living in California and he was living in East Tennessee.

But I wasn't too thrilled about starting all over after I moved there..

I had to learn how to get around and go on job interviews far away.

They we bought a house 🏡 and I loved my house.

Well, I didn't sell everything, but we did sell the house we had in Texas where I had lived most of my life and moved to the Midwest about 3 years ago. It was a completely new start for me. Thankfully my wife works remote so she got to keep her job. I did for a while as well until eventually I was displaced.

I was dating this girl and we were living together

Then I got a job that required me to move

So she got accommodation and I moved away

Then I returned and instead of moving back in together I got different accommodation

I don't really remember the details but it was a major upheaval in my life. When I started to move on mentally from her I did get very upset.
We were supposed to get married.
