My Mom had me at 17... Personally I'm glad I waited until I was almost 30 to have kids. I had plenty of wild adventures and I was ready to not be one of those parents that parties in front of their kids.

My Mom on the other hand... I have a whole lot of horrible memories thanks to her trying to be a teenager for life. Imagine one of those parents that drops their kids off so that they can go to swinger parties, do drugs, and sexy dance on random guys... just like that except we never got dropped off anywhere while she did that shit.

Better to get it out of your system first and be ready to raise a child, instead of acting like your childhood was stolen all the way into your late 30's while dragging kids along for the ride.

My mom had me when she was 19, and my dad was 20. I was there first kid. I'm going to have my first kid right before I turn 31. So I'm about 11 years older then my mom was when she had me.

The thing is the world is different now. I know some people have kids when they are younger still, but when I was 19 I was in college, my mom never went to college, she turned 18 and got a job working at a nursery. My mom never had career ambitions, at the time I wanted to be an Actress on Broadway. I had lots of experiences in my 20s, being in a band, van life, I even got a chance to work on a few movies. I wasn't in them, I was a graphic designer, but still.

Now I'm in my my mother era and I'm happy.

My mom had me at 25 and I have surpassed that and I honestly doubt I have a child at all but if I did change my mind it wouldn't be until I'm almost 40 probably when my debt is either cleared or pretty low.

Totally fair. Different generation, different timeline. Your parents’ age when they had you is not your deadline. Having a kid is massive responsibility, not a cute side quest. Focus on emotional stability, financial security, and a partner who’s not a walking red flag. Baby fever without readiness is just chaos in a diaper.

Mom was 33 and Dad was 30 when I was born, the 3rd child of 5 total.
Mom and Dad were 25 and 22 when they first started popping 'em out.

My only son was born when I was 39.

That's what occurred in my life, so I don't really know how I can answer your question.

That would be okay, though people today tend to have children a bit older, which is not necessarily a new phenomenon.

My mother had my sister and me when she was 25 and 32, respectively. My father was older.

My then-wife and I had our three kids when she was 28, 30 and 35, respectively. I was older.

You need to take account of the other end of the calculation too, right? Sure you can have kids well into your 40s, but then you'll be in your 60s when they mature. Balancing act.

It's different now , I was 28 and my wife was 19 when she first gave birth. My mother had 5 children and was 20 when she married  I have 2 daughters 36 and 33 , neither has given birth..

I would have been okay with it if I had found the right woman to have children with. My parents were 30 when my brother and I were born. All their friends told them were crazy to start having kids so late or at such an old age. Most of my parents' friends who were around the same age started having kids when they were in their late teens. Times have definitely changed.

Too late, I mean I could at the age of my dad, but seeing as my girlfriend is older than my parents were when they had my younger sister (I'm the eldest of two), that won't happen. I also got a vasectomy, and can't wait until it reaches the 10 year mark.

No. My mother had me with 19 and she treated me as I was the reason she couldn't play out her 9/10 assets fully. From health aspect such young pregnancy is good but for mental development of the child it's suboptimal
