Left on delivered for 2 weeks on Facebook—should I send another message?

I’ve recently reached out to a distant cousin I’ve never met. I sent a message on Facebook after sending friend request which she accepted. The message says delivered for the past two weeks. Should I send one more message?

Nah, you tried to reach out and they didn't respond to it. They either just dont look at Facebook that often (I ignore mine almost completely) or maybe they only access it on their phones and don't have messenger on their phone since it is a separate thing (also the same situation I am in. I would have to log into Facebook from my pc which is just noy something im interested in doing and I know I have messages waiting for me).

I would say dont come off too pushy and just let your cousin respond when they see it.

She accepted the friend request couple days after I sent it. I guess she doesn’t have her notifications on that’s located on the top right on the page.

Yeah, she could have just missed the message or like I said, she might be on mobile and not have messenger to read the messages. When she's ready she will get to it

Yea you could be right. I think she just might be too busy also. From what I’m told from people that know her more that she travels a lot for work. Plus usually you would see a green icon on when people are actually on facebook looking. I haven’t seen hers on. And I’m sure she would have left the friend request alone and not respond to that.

Sounds reasonable for some who travels a lot. She might just have accepted it blindly without doing the research to see who you are (unless she already knew)

Probably not, some people don't use Facebook often. I was logged out of mine. I remember logging in one day, and replying to a person who sent me a message 4 years ago, lol.
