3 moMy ex wife asked for a divorce. We were doing drugs and not life and well i remember thinking "it can't get any worse then this"...
A few months later she came over one night and I thought we were working things out. I had cleaned up a lot but not all the way. her and I hadn't talked in weeks. Anyways we talked for a hour or so but it was late, she went to the bathroom and came back wanting to go to sleep. I didn't want to sleep yet but I didn't care I just wanted us back. So fuck it i thought, ill just laying here and hold her that idea sounded amazing to me... not sleep so much but i didn't want to argue.
Anyways she fell asleep pretty fast, I felt like something was wrong, i just layed there listening to her breathe for an hour or 2 untill i fell asleep. Well I woke up the next morning and she didn't... she killed herself, overdosed on purpose before laying down with me. I blame myself for it. I learned "It can always get worse".

My first husband abandoning my new baby son and myself during Christmas season. I won't bore everyone with the details again.
When my son came down with bacterial meningitis, went on life support, then contracted septecemia, blood poisoning, and double pneumonia and bacterial endocarditis (infection of his heart), and had to have emergency open heart surgery.💔
All of this was devastating for both of us and we didn't have any family support. He spent 76 days in the hospital and he was only 17 years old.
Two and a half years ago the love of my life, Patrick, my boyfriend who was living with me at the time died suddenly. 💔14 Reply- 3 mo

3 moSeparating from my wife. Negotiating a financial settlement was a barrel of monkeys, too. We have largely reconciled. In fact we are better friends than we have been in years.
What devastated me was that I let my daughter down. I'm the only one who has ever believed in her. I'm the only one who ever dared her to dream. We both lost a lot in the process. And there's not really a way to get back that time in her life.
And... that's probably all I want to share for now because it still hurts.

The second thing was death of the second parent , although not unexpected, it was like " that's it "
During this period I got the sack from a big job ( still the only time I have ever been sacked ) and at the same time going though a divorce.
This was the low of lows at that time and it was like the entire world was against me..

3 moHaving my house taken away from me 6 years ago and then having to watch a group of house cleaners throw my entire life into a series of dumpsters because I wasn't given enough time to take everything. and then, having the bank threaten to take THIS house away because my fucking stupid aunt mortgaged it to give more money to her scammer buddies 3 months before she died!!! With no money to pay it off, I'm gonna be in a cardboard box before too terribly long!!

3 moWhen I went away to college and I would come home on holidays or when I have breaks from college, I always came home to bad news. Either it was one of my pets has died or someone I knew and that was close to me has died. That went on for the 2 years I was away for college. I felt super unlucky during that time and started to fear going home for the next bad news.
